soooo…our sugar and salt journey started several years ago.
one day, broke and out of face scrub, a light bulb moment happened.
what if? what if we could make something affordable that wouldn’t make our skin break out?
we are sensitive skin people. before the light bulb moment, we had been struggling anyway to find affordable skincare products that exfoliate, soften, and smooth without causing irritation or excessive drying. we set out to find a solution. and boy did we go down some rabbit trails.
to loosely quote Thomas Edison, we “found 10,000 ways that wouldn’t work.”
but we didn’t need 10,000 solutions. we only needed one. the answer was in front of us the entire time, disguised as baking products! and voilà! sugar + salt skin essentials was born.
like our ingredients, we believe in keeping it simple sweetheart. we don’t have a lot of products, but what we have, we strive to do well.
